There’s been a lot of recapping and remembering and whatnot lately. I am attempting to make it through the whole year and determined to do so and sort of stay on track. You are welcome.
July started out with a bang, just like every year, with a long-standing family tradition of outside camping. I wondered why we do it at 3a.m. when it was pouring rain, but then I remembered.
Then I bemoaned one of the worst parts of parenting and designated an official toilet flusher. Seriously kids. How hard is it? It hasn’t remedied the problem, sadly.
I ended the month with a heart-felt letter to Earl, the poor man on the other end of the phone who endure a rant meant for my husband.
August was slow while I redesigned my site, but I still managed to share what family dinner is like for a big family. Can you say, CHAOS?!?
And then I made sure to fill the royal couple in on Newborn Survival from a Mom who has done it like once or twice. If nothing else, that post is worth the super yummy baby pic!
September picked back up, as it usually does with all things football. We learned some life lessons this year.
There was a letter to the Spoon Thief, which did nothing to replenish my missing spoons. I finally went out and bought more.
And then I talked to my kids about role models after the whole Miley debacle.
I also Ran Colorado and mourned the loss of my cousin-in-law who was a triathlete and was tragically killed during a training ride.
It was a busy time of year and I kind of can’t believe it was so recent and so long ago at the same time. Life flies by far too quickly.
