“Thank you for sending us “Upside Down”. We love it and will be pleased to publish it in the first volume of “Precipice.”

I read those simple words over and over not quite believing it could be true. I have submitted my writing many times over the years. Perhaps not as often as a truly dedicated writer sans children, but many times nonetheless, and always with the same response.

Something like this:
“Thank you for your submission, however we will not be using your piece at this time.”

Or, just no response. That is always my least favorite. They could at least give me the courtesy of telling me it sucks.

But this time I wrote and rewrote and I knew it was good. I knew that if it wasn’t accepted, I would try other places because I believed in my piece. But I was rewarded for my perseverance and have the honor of being published in this amazing collection of stories written by many I have come to know in the blogosphere. It is an honor. Truly.

Precipice is available in ebook form and will soon be available in print as well.
